Finn Juhl and Danish Chairs - Official Exhibition Catalogue (2022, Out of Print)

Famous for his organic, sculptural curves that seamlessly cradle the human body, Finn Juhl (1912–1989) was a leading figure in the golden age of Danish Modern design.

This is the official exhibition catalogue from the major retrospective "Finn Juhl and Danish Chairs," held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum in 2022. It is currently out of print and highly sought after by mid-century design collectors worldwide.

Produced with full access to the world-renowned "Oda Collection" (compiled by chair scholar Noritsugu Oda), this volume traces the historical evolution of Danish furniture craftsmanship in Chapter 1, before diving deep into Juhl’s unique furniture structures, interior works, and architectural drawings in Chapter 2. It provides lush photography and expert commentary on icons like the "Easy Chair No.45," "Chieftain Chair," and "Pelican Chair".

A vital reference piece for enthusiasts of Scandinavian design and mid-century architecture, this bilingual edition also makes an exceptional coffee table book.
